In a context where 54% of French people consume organic products At least once a month, the market shows signs of stabilization and renewed interest. 80% of consumers consider organic farming to be a key lever for preserving the environment. It is in this dynamic that the Pays de la Loire, the 4th organic region in France with 258,700 hectares certified, more than 4 farms et 380 processing companies, will showcase their sector at Natexpo 2025. In 2023, 12% exhibitors were from Pays de la Loire, thus confirming their central role in the organic sector.

A KEY REGION FOR ORGANIC PRODUCTION IN FRANCE
A strong position in national organic production
4th French region in organic areas:
- 258,700 hectares of organic land in 2023, – 12,5% of regional agricultural land committed to organic farming
- 4,332 farms committed to organic farming in 2023.
Committed territories
- The three departments with the most organic areas on their territory are Loire-Atlantique, Maine-et-Loire and Vendée.
- Nantes Métropole was awarded the “Territoire Bio Engagé” label in March 2025, highlighting the commitment of local authorities.
An expanding sector
- +253 organic businesses in 5 years, or +14,9%, from processing to distribution.
Varied distribution channels
- 54% in supermarkets, 15% in direct sales, 23% in specialist stores, 8% among artisans.
Strong and diversified sectors
- Breeding tradition, dynamic market gardening, wide range of products.
- Collective catering, a strategic lever
- 2% organic on average in canteens, with a record of 14% in Loire-Atlantique.
The Pays de la Loire region is a historic organic region, where the sector has been structured for several decades around committed stakeholders, recognized expertise, and diverse production. THEY WILL BE THE VOICE OF ORGANIC LIGERIAN PRODUCTS AT NATEXPO 2025
With a space of 228 m2 and around twenty participating companies, the Pays de la Loire pavilion at Natexpo 2025 will be a showcase of regional organic excellence.
Exhibitors will represent a wide range of sectors: meat, fruits and vegetables, biscuits, dairy products, fermented beverages, and preserves. The Pays de la Loire pavilion will be a space for meetings and exchanges, with activities and presentations of innovations.
