Hello Clément, could you tell us a little about yourself and your background?

My name is Clément, I'm the co-founder of Yacon & co. We produce and market yacon syrup: the best alternative to sugar on the market. 
Personally, I began my studies in Clermont-Ferrand, before pursuing a Master's degree in Paris. We launched Yacon & co in May 2021, first in e-commerce, then very quickly in the organic distribution network. Within the company, I handle all the sales and operations aspects.

Since your last participation in the show, how has Yacon & Co evolved?

Our last participation was in the 2023 edition. At the time, we were sold in around 600 organic stores with only a few purchasing centers. Today, we are distributed throughout the organic sector, through all the network's purchasing centers. We have excellent performance, which is on average twice as high as the average in the sugar alternatives department.

What role did the Natexpo trade fair play in the development of your business?

The Natexpo trade fair allowed us very early in our adventure to be visible to organic buyers which are usually much more difficult to access. Beyond that, we won the Natexbio Challenge, which allowed us to increase our visibility before, during and after the show.

Is there a particular moment that marked the history of Yacon & Co ?

The launch of our own yacon syrup production plant, which we launched at the end of November. This will finally allow us to produce yacon syrup in sufficient quantities, and at an affordable price.

What are your goals and plans for the future of the company?

We now need to stabilize our yacon syrup supply to make it a mass-market product like agave syrup. We will also soon begin our international expansion, where yacon syrup is still relatively unknown.
