Our story: a cooperative and human adventure rooted in solidarity

Founded in 1992, Biomonde Solidarité is the third largest cooperative of independent organic retailers in France. Our network includes over 145 organic stores across all regions of the country, as well as in New Caledonia and the French overseas territories (DROM-COM). For over 30 years, our mission has remained the same: to defend a demanding, accessible, and locally rooted vision of organic living.

Our name speaks volumes. “Bio” means life, organic farming, health, and nature. “Monde” refers to the planet we all share – humans, animals, and ecosystems alike. And most importantly, “Solidarité” (Solidarity) is a word that defines who we are. It’s not just part of our name – it’s at the core of our DNA. It reflects how we operate: collectively, transparently, and with mutual support.

BIOMONDE is a community of passionate shopkeepers, committed to their regions and to building a more ethical business model. Stepping into a Biomonde store means meeting engaged individuals who carefully select their products, support local producers, and foster direct relationships with their customers.

Over time, our cooperative has expanded and structured itself. We’ve built a shared purchasing center, a logistics platform, joint communication tools, and tailored support services for every store. Yet despite our growth, we’ve preserved what matters most: the independence and individuality of each shop.

Today, in a world facing critical environmental and social challenges, we reaffirm our mission: to promote an organic future that is coherent, committed, people-centered, and solidarity-driven. Our partnership in the Trophies is a natural extension of this vision. Being a partner means supporting sustainable innovation, highlighting inspiring stories, and playing an active role in the transition to a more respectful, life-conscious world.
