During these quite exceptional times, Natexpo is this year, perhaps more than ever before, an unmissable event for international professionals working in the organic sector. It is an essential rendezvous for exhibitors, both loyal and new, who place their trust in the only French B2B exhibition on the organic market, with most other European events due to take place this year having been postponed.
Hailing from all over Europe, exhibitors will present their products in areas as wide and varied as delicatessen, ingredients, dietary supplements, cosmetics and toiletries, store fittings, etc. This year’s exhibitor list features 14 new foreign exhibitors from Italy, Belgium, Germany, Bulgaria, Denmark, Spain and the Netherlands. They have chosen Natexpo to help them with their international development.
This year, for more distant visitors who are unable to travel to Lyon, Natexpo has created Natexpo Digital, in addition to the physical trade show, offering them access to all the exhibitors and a chance to interact with them.
Food: an essential category
Food products and ingredients will be widely represented. As the largest representative of the organic market in Denmark, Organic Denmark, which is exhibiting for the first time, brings together more than 200 Danish companies active in the organic sector – including many farmers – and helps them to connect with retailers. Encompassing areas such as cereals, dairy products, eggs, fruit, vegetables, beverages, the association brings together all sectors of the food industry.
Already present in 2019 and back this year, Bio Net West Hellas is the largest group of organic producers in Greece.
The new exhibitor Molino Filippini from Italy has been a buckwheat specialist for three generations but has recently extended its range to other cereals such as quinoa, millet and amaranth. The German company D’Angelo will take advantage of its first Natexpo to present its entire range of fresh pasta for the restaurant and catering trade. Another newcomer, the family company Cascina Belvedere will share its passion and history for rice growing and processing.
Both exhibiting in the Organic Incubator, the Dutch firm Bumi and the Swiss company Freely Handustry develop vegan and gluten-free products: vegetable spreads and lupin tempeh for the former, and lactose and soy-free cookies for the latter.
Among the loyal exhibitors, we can note Bio Organica Italia, a family company specialising in the processing of vegetables and olives from Puglia, the Dutch firm Farm Brothers, a manufacturer of organic cookies, the German Wheaty, which offers organic meet and cheese alternatives, and the German firm Taifun Tofu, a specialist in tofu in all its forms (plain, fermented or smoked).
Also involved in the health food market, the Austrian Deep Nature Project transforms hemp into food products and dietary supplements. The company is showing at Natexpo for the first time. Meanwhile the Spanish firm Runakay, which exhibited in 2019, develops vegetarian smoothies which are high in protein, carbohydrates and vitamins.
Teas and herbal teas: as popular as ever
Indian philosophy and Ayurveda are sources of inspiration. As returning exhibitors, the British firm Pukka and the German Yogi Tea concoct delicious formulae of tea and herbal tea which they develop into original creations that exude wellness.
The Swiss company Leafwell, which was also an exhibitor in 2019, is back this year with its tasty cold brew iced teas made from a range of tea varieties (black, white, green, etc) or from rooibos, combined with the best fruits and spices.
Organic cosmetics and personal hygiene: sectors with potential
For the past 40 years, the brand Herbatint by the Italian firm Antiqua Erboristeria has been a leading name in ammonia-free permanent hair dyes. With low hydrogen peroxide content, the products are formulated from organic plant extracts.
Phergal Laboratories, based in Madrid, also propose ammonia-free dyes for the pharmaceutical and mass retail channels, together with a series of cosmetics brands.
With its bamboo toothbrushes and inter-dental brushes and its healthy formulation organic toothpastes, the Bulgarian company Nordics revisits dental hygiene to make it even cleaner!
Import/Export Office: a focus on import/export and European challenges
As a forum for talks, certification workshops and international meetings, this feature area offers a platform, in association with Business France, Ecocert and the France-Spain CCI, to country experts who will explain the specificities of European countries from an import and export perspective. French exhibitors wishing to expand abroad but also foreign firms wishing to come to Europe will be able to find answers to their questions.
Countries on the agenda: Spain, Bulgaria, Romania and Serbia.
Programme subject to changes.
Natexpo International Tour
Beside the trade show, Natexpo helps French exhibitors to export and grow business, and launched Natexpo International Tour.
These events let them benefit from short and efficient formats to enter in contact with the markets they are targeting. On 15 September, the first Natexpo International Tour webinar will be held, featuring Germany and Poland.
