Can you tell us a bit about yourself: who are you, where do you come from, what do you do?
I have been running a Natura organic shop in Nevers for 15 years, and Natura happens to be turning 50 this year. Fifty years of independence is worth celebrating!
In September I became chairwoman of the Natexbio federation, with a highly enthusiastic team and our chief executive Claire Dimier who joined us a few months ago. I am also a director on the board of Synadis bio.
The future is starting to look a little brighter for the organic sector. What does the situation look from your perspective?
I’m very pleased to observe the signs of recovery on the organic markets, and particularly specialist retail. In this regard, and to make sure these positive signs endure, we feel the need to work together so that organic becomes the driver of a necessary transition, for the environment and for public health.
What are NATEXBIO’s projects to support the sector?
The NATEXBIO federation is in the process of reorganising around a devoted and energetic team who have a deep desire for collective progress. We want NATEXBIO to be a meeting point for all the players in the organic supply chains, and for all product categories.
Our actions in 2025 will revolve around Natexpo, which will be back at Porte de Versailles. We are already mobilised alongside our partner SPAS Organisation in the planning of this new edition for which we have fresh ambitions.
Beyond the tradeshow, NATEXBIO wishes to publicise the benefits of organic agriculture and consumption towards politicians, professionals and representatives of civil society. As a result, we are going to be more proactive in meeting with public officials, and build even better knowledge and communicate around the positive effects of organic practices.
What are you expecting from the next edition of Natexpo in 2025?
We are delighted to see the show’s Paris edition returning to Porte de Versailles, and we want it to attract a wide exhibitor and visitor audience as a result. We hope this edition will reflect the return to growth of this sector of excellence.
We intend Natexpo 2025 to be a highlight of 2025 for all the profession and our partners, and that it provides an opportunity to expand our sphere of influence to share our sources of pride, our ambitions and our concerns.
How would you describe Natexpo?
It’s the key meeting place to meet and discuss with professionals from throughout the sector, a quite distinctive occasion which brings together the whole profession around our essential values. This show is also a time for emulation and motivation which always imparts a positive stimulus.
What’s your everyday organic reflex?
I eat organic fruit and vegetables every day, it’s our core business at Natura. Buying from specialist organic shops is a way of more strongly supporting players from the organic and local economy. Organic is a healthy eating alternative that protects people’s and the environment’s health. We work every day with his aim in mind.
