Local in a Jar
is an artisanal cannery committed to promoting local products. 100% of the fruits and vegetables used in their soups and small dishes are produced next to their production workshop, and purchased directly from local producers.
A strong approach in favor of employment initiated in 2015 and which has received the Social Utility Solidarity Enterprise accreditation.
They took their first steps at Natexpo in 2018. At the time, they were four employees crafting their jars in their small workshop. This was a crucial step for Charlotte Trossat, creator and manager. Since then, their turnover has more than quadrupled.
We collected his testimony.
You exhibited at a Nursery stand in 2018: what was the face of your company like at the time?
Local en bocal was a very young company. In 2018, we had a turnover of €200,000 and produced our soups in a small space, with just four people. Having this stand at Natexpo marked our entry into the world of organic products.
How did this format present an opportunity for you?
We would never have been able to afford a “classic” stand, and yet it was essential that we were there to promote our products, meet buyers, and get feedback from consumers. The formula Nursery is truly a great opportunity for start-ups. The stands are small and suitable. The village always attracts buyers, who come to find What's new.

Today you are exhibiting at the Natexpo Grand Bain: what does this new step represent in your strategy?
This is another milestone for us! We're growing rapidly, with a turnover of €820 in 2020, a national presence just starting, and some great brands in production. However, we remain young and fragile, and the Grand Bain formula allows us to gain visibility at a very reasonable price.
What impact has Natexpo had on the development of your business?
Natexpo is always a great opportunity for us, a essential step ; we meet new prospects, new partners, which allows us to move up a step each year.
