Bio Cohérence is a French organic label collectively promoted by producers, manufacturers, retailers and consumers. Its specifications go further than the European organic regulation with the aim of safeguarding the values of organic farming, standing out on the market and highlighting positive-impact practices.
Cécile Guyou, General Delegate talks about their journey at Natexpo which started two years ago.
You exhibited in the Incubator in 2019: what was your organisation like back then?
Back in 2019, we did indeed exhibit in the Incubator. Following a few years of building and developing Bio Cohérence’s projects, we were ready to reach out to the downstream players in organic sectors (manufacturing companies and organic retailers).
In what way was this exhibition format an opportunity for you?
It was our opportunity to take part in Natexpo as an exhibitor. We met companies, distributors and organic retailers, some of which now carry the Bio Cohérence label. Some of our members such as Biogam, le Mas Daussan, Bernard Gaborit and producer alliances (Norabio, Bio Centre Loire, etc.) are also exhibitors at the show. It’s an opportunity for them to explain this additional label and their commitments.
Today you’re exhibiting in the Big Splash at Natexpo. What does this new step represent in your strategy?
Interest for the Bio Cohérence label grows at the same time as there are new members that bear the label (Local en Bocal, Bio Direct alliance, Lou Bio/Dao….). Indeed, the growth of the organic market has been accompanied by increasing interest for differentiation: producers and companies wishing to showcase their values and promote their positive impact practices. Bio Cohérence, as a French trademark for the organic sector, meets this expectation by standing out on the market as a more highly committed and demanding form of organic production.
Being here in the Big Splash this year gives us the opportunity to meet new partners and future members to continue to develop the offering of labelled products.
What impact has Natexpo had on your organisation’s development?
Natexpo enables us to maintain our relations with our partners, promote the label and most importantly develop our network with new encounters. The previous editions of Natexpo enabled us to develop interest among new players who are now bearers of the Bio Cohérence label.
