What does Cozie mean?
“Consommation Objectif Zéro Impact Environnemental” (consumption with a target of zero environmental impact), quite simply! This French brand working in the circular economy was born out of the desire to create eco-friendly healthy and environmentally friendly cosmetics products. Cozie offers mixed care products, made in France from simple formula and with natural and organic ingredients.
Fighting waste and offering new solutions is their leitmotif. Beyond an eco-friendly approach, Cozie is involved in an everyday circular economy: all the products’ bottles and jars are made from glass and are reusable and refillable. They are sold through a deposit return system on the principle of a lifelong purchase. The brand therefore seeks to eran new adopters through the quality of its products and involve its clients in its ecological approach through small everyday reflexes.
They are also the first to have created a cosmetics dispenser: the Dozeuse. A patented machine which guarantees safe and hygienic products for consumers.
Arnaud Lancelot, the co-founder of Cozie, tells us more about their journey, and why taking part in Natexpo has helped them develop over the past four years.
You exhibited on a Village stand in 2020: what was your company like back then?
We launched the firm in 2017 and we felt we had a duty to have a form of professional market visibility… but without having the cash to do so! We were therefore fortunate to exhibit in the Cosmetics Innovations Village, with a formula which suited our quite limited budget.
In what way was this exhibition format an opportunity for you?
For a moderate budget, we were able to present our Cozie approach on a 3 m² space. The stand was never empty throughout the three days: it was incredible!
Today you are exhibiting in the Big Splash at Natexpo? What does this new step represent in your strategy?
Growth, growth, growth: we are continuing our development and increasing our budgets, visibility and reputation. The Big Splash is a perfect compromise between the Innovation Village and a stand in our own name, and this is something that suits our needs at a time when budgets are tighter due to the global crisis!
What impact has Natexpo had on your company’s development?
Cozie would not be as developed as it is today without Natexpo. It is the must-attend meeting to promote our approach and offering to retailers.
